Salmon with Honey and Blood Orange Glaze
This recipe comes together quickly with just a few ingredients but packs a big punch of flavor and nutrition! Leftovers are great for the next days lunch or dinner!
Ingredients
- 3 Salmon fillets
- 4 Oranges juiced, preferably blood oranges but can use what’s available
- 1/2 Teaspoon Orange zest
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Teaspoon Avocado oil ghee OR olive oil
- Sea salt and pepper
Instructions
- In a small saucepan add honey, juice of oranges, and orange zest. Simmer until combined and liquid reduced down to a thicker syrup type consistency. Once mixture is complete, set aside and turn on oven broiler to high.
- Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper. On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper place salmon fillets on baking sheet and rub with oil or melted ghee and drizzle half the orange/honey mixture. Broil for 3 minutes. After about 3 minutes of cooking brush on the remaining glaze and cook another 3-4 minutes until salmon is cooked to preference.
- Serve with your favorite side like a salad, roasted veggies or quinoa.
